The federal government is being asked to subsidize a $650 million (low-end) Savannah River deepening project that federal resource agencies say would wreck the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge, could degrade water quality and harm wildlife – even though the Corps of Engineers admits that the dredging project is not needed to increase port traffic in Savannah.  This website is here for you to use as a summary of the proposed deepening project, its myriad of impacts, and what YOU can do about it.
